Saranna Sephton

Director of care services

Saranna has been working in social care for 26 years, and in that time has built up a wide knowledge of all aspects of the care sector. She found her feet as a care assistant after leaving school, and since worked her way up through the ranks and different specialisations.

Saranna is dedicated to improving social care and has not only the drive and knowledge needed to achieve this, but a genuine love and commitment for what she does. This is what drew her to the Phoenix Healthcare Group, as the morals of the company align with her own personal beliefs that all are entitled to outstanding person-centred care.

Laura-Jane Chogugudza

Laura-Jane Chogugudza

Director of Nursing and Registered Manager of Phoenix Complex division.

As a passionate and dedicated Director of Nursing and Registered Manager for Complex Care Service, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to maintaining high clinical standards and delivering top-quality care.

My journey in the care sector began at 16 as a carer in residential and nursing homes, fostering a deep passion for working with the elderly, individuals with advanced dementia, and palliative care needs. I gained experience supporting young people with learning disabilities and behaviours which challenge, empowering them to fulfil activities of daily living and accessing the community. These early experiences in care alongside being a young carer for my father established a desire to fiercely uphold dignity and respect with an open-minded attitude to care. Since qualifying as a Nurse, I have developed a multitude of clinical skills and experiences. Working in diverse settings such as busy district nursing teams, community hospitals, ambulatory care clinics, and community TPN service where I have handled challenging cases, worked autonomously and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, I have overseen complex care packages from hospital discharges to managing established packages, providing clinical skill training and competency sign offs. Completing highly individualised co-produced care plans and risk assessments, to empower clients to live a fulfilled quality of life with a supportive team around them. I firmly believe in upholding dignity and respect for all individuals, coupled with an open-minded approach to care, I am dedicated to empowering clients to live fulfilling lives with a supportive team by their side. My goal is to continue making a positive impact in the lives of those I serve, striving for excellent care.

She has worked as an operations manager within a learning disability and mental health setting, working closely with ICB, case managers, the wider MDT and the clients themselves to ensure the care provided is person-centred and of the highest standard.
